What is a mobile home built in 1984 worth?

I want to buy a mobile home that was built in 1984. It is in decent condition. 2 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms. One room has some damage to the wall and ceiling but nothing too major. This is located in pennsylvania. I see people selling their mobile homes everyday for small cost. The owner of this home wants $9500. I want to pay $7000. Is this fair?

I think the 7k is too much. Not sure of prices of trailers but old trailers have old appliances, old wiring, old everything and just aren’t worth much. Check around and see what else you can get for 7K. You don’t have to buy anything you think is overpriced. Look online and see what’s for sale and what it looks like so you know what you are doing.

7K………is most likely to much……..but………..by the time you want to sell it …………it would go for 4K……….you can look up the blue book value much like a car………call your bank and credit union and as what they would loan on it………

Fair doesn’t fit in the picture. It is an open market. Shop and compare to make an intelligent determination.

More importantly, where are you going to put it? Factor in the costs of moving, establishing a foundation if necessary in your county, etc. If it can remain as-placed (in a mobile-home park) consider the costs thereof. Keep researching.
