If Your Article is Not Indexed, It Doesn’t Exist

Google made big changes to the ways their search results rank,   the reason cited is that google wanted to provide more relevant results, google engineers published blog post which indicated there were 11.8% organic search results will be affected, in plain English, almost 12% of google search results are useless or of low quality. The update was initiated more than a year ago, maybe that’s why some of my ranks dropped out of first 10 pages, the good thing is that those keywords promoted by content rich links are not affected, a few of these keywords ranked better than ever, it becomes clear that linking campaign the old way is the thing of past, probably due to links crammed sites being downgraded by google.

What is old way of link building any way? a large percentage of SEO firms will do this,  they put your links on websites which only exist for holding links, these websites will only be updated when new links are being added, almost all of them are garbage, the name link spamming are just for these sites. The latest google update will definitely downgrade most if not all of these sites, any links on them will be affected too. 

Examples will be great for explanation. When I got into online marketing long time ago, I started with this keyword, The V Tow Chain for Your Job, of course with old way of link building, a lot of sites I used had too many links, worst yet, those sites had no content at all. No Nonsense Contextual Links Will Boost Your Search Rank

  Short while ago google had changed their ranking algorithm,   in the name of providing more relevant search results for it’s users, according to their official blog, this change impacts 11.8% organic search results, put it this way, almost 12% of google search results are useless or of low quality. Google started this change almost one year ago, no wonder I saw a few of my keywords’ ranks dropped like a rock, but almost all the ranks promoted by articles and blog posts were not affected, some of the keywords even ranked better than before, it’s almost a sure thing that plain link building loses all it’s attraction, at least in the eye of google.

Now what on earth is plain link building and how do people do it? a lot of marketing companies did and are doing the plain link building, they will get links from any websites which accept adding links, the content on those sites will never be updated, almost all of them are garbage, the name link spamming are just for these sites. New google algorithm most likely will punish these link spammers,  any links on them will be affected too. 

A few real world examples will help to explain what I said. It was quite some time ago, I started promote the keyword, Sash Chain, of course with old way of link building, almost all the sites I got link from had too many links, and those sites had only links, no real content at all. I would give credit where credit is due, this linking strategy worked, finally the rank improved a lot,   the honeymoon lasted until google changed it’s mind. Now let’s look at another keyword, chain pullers, most back links for this keyword are from articles and posts, almost no plain links, now we have really good ranking for this keyword. Now contextual links win the battle, then what? In fact the only thing matters here is content, as long as you dole out high quality content, not only people will love to read your stuff, so do the search engines. How do you do it? Writing articles and building blogs, such as this interesting blog, best smartphone , I didn’t put too much effort into it from start, but I never stopped posting, now it can even rank the highly competitive keywords. As far as SEO concerned, creating quality content and blog marketing is what we have to do to get great result. Bottom line is that you should create great content, get people to enjoy and share your stuff, in the mean time advertise your business with your content, as long as you don’t stop doing this, you will win over customers and search engines. The Twitter tools is a wordpress plugin, you can install it, sign up for a twitter account and create a new application, set up API credentials in your twitter tools option, then every new post on your blog will show up in your twitter page, it’s simple and elegant, if you don’t use this tool it’s just too bad.
